Gentling

Posted by in .

Adopting a wild mustang from the BLM can be a fun and rewarding experience. We do realize, however, that not everybody has the skills or facilities to accommodate a wild horse.

I’ve owned horses for nearly 20 years. Since February 2013 I’ve gentled 14 blm mustangs. I don’t have any fancy show training and if you’re looking for a show trainer I’m definitely not the right person to help you! My passion is trail and my continuing goal is to develop lightness in the horses I work with. I treat each horse as an educational opportunity. My training program is a little different than the industry norm. Your horse WILL have photos or video posted of EVERY training session. Have a look at my Adopted Horses page for samples of the training updates you can expect. As you can see I prefer video! Training is billed on a per session basis.  We only bill for the days you receive an update!

BLM Mustangs or Forest Service Horses only accepted. I prefer horses newly adopted from the corrals and have experience with un-gentled horses from weanlings through six years old. Horses will receive gentling and ground training. If your interested in having me gentle your mustang feel free to send me an email or give me a call.
