Napoleon
Napoleon is a 6yo ~13.2h Gray Pony gelding gathered from White River HMA.This handsome gelding is in training as part of the Trainer Incentive Program. He will lead, load and pick up all four feet before he goes home. He is NOT trained to ride but should make an excellent trail horse with additional training.

Worked with Napoleon to reinforce haltering and picking up all four feet. He still needs a couple laps around his pen before he’ll stand to be haltered but once he decides hes done he’s quiet and politely picks up all four feet. That initial energy burst is just part of his personality for now!

Napoleon’s training is coming along nicely. He’s learned how to go over several obstacles in our obstacle course as well as how to stand tied. Here are some pictures from his training session today!

Napoleons training is coming along great. He leads outside of his pen now and is working on haltering. We should have obstacle course pictures very soon!
August 5, 2015 – Training Day 1
Worked with Napoleon this evening for the first time (no video). Our first step was to start teaching him to give to pressure on the rope. He was VERY resistant so that took up most of our training session. After about 10 minutes he settled down and started yielding instead of running off. Once he settled we were able to approach and rub his neck on both sides. Even though our training session started out a little rough we ended in a very good spot.
