Fancy
Fancy is a 3yo, 13.2h flaxen chestnut mare who was born in a facility. This fancy filly is in training as part of the Trainer Incentive Program. She already leads, loads, and picks up all four feet. She is ready to go home and the paperwork process only takes 7-10 days. She is NOT trained to ride but should make an excellent trail horse with additional training.

Fancy made her first trip to the obstacle course. This was also her first time leading outside. Other than being a little bit pushy she was great! The obstacles didn’t bother her at all. Here are some pictures and a video.
June 8, 2015 – Update
Fancy is coming along really nicely. She easily allows me to approach and halter her. She leads softly and we are starting to work on picking up her front feet. Super nice filly.

Today was the first time I have worked with Fancy since she arrived. We worked on leading and approach and retreat. She is a VERY smart filly! It didnt take her very long at all to catch on and she was soon leading around her stall on a very light line. Worked on approach and retreat to her left shoulder. She was easily allowing me to approach her and rub her neck, shoulder and back. She never got worried or frightened.

May 7, 2015 – Arrival Day
Will not be able to work with Fancy for a couple of weeks until after the Norco makeover but she is already a curious, inquisitive filly. She’ll let me pet her neck and face and is very interested in what I am doing.
