I have been spending lots of time with Houston not asking him to do much except hang out with me. Whereas he was a bit standoffish he will now come to the gate and generally thinks I am interesting. Today we worked on grooming and had another lesson with his feet. He has been doing much better with his left hind but is still a little worried about his right hind. Overall he is making improvement and should meet program requirements soon. I could rush him along but I feel it is important to develop a horse’s confidence so that is what I have been working on.
