Gentling

Adopting a wild mustang from the BLM can be a fun and rewarding experience. We do realize, however, that not everybody has the skills or facilities to accommodate a wild horse. With the Trainer Incentive Program currently on hold due to sequestration, I am now able to accept a small number of horses for training.

I’ve owned horses for nearly 20 years. Since February 2013 I’ve gentled 11 blm mustangs. I don’t have any fancy show training and if you’re looking for a show trainer I’m definitely not the right person to help you! For over 5 years I purchased horses from private parties and public auctions, evaluated, trained, and sold them for a profit. My passion is trail and my continuing goal is to develop lightness in the horses I work with. I treat each horse as an educational opportunity. My training program is a little different than the industry norm. Your horse WILL have photos or video posted of EVERY training session. Have a look at my Adopted Horses page for samples of the training updates you can expect. As you can see I prefer video! Training is billed on a per session basis. We only bill for the days you receive an update!

BLM Mustangs only accepted. I prefer horses newly adopted from the corrals and have experience with un-gentled horses from weanlings through six years old. Horses will receive gentling and ground training. I do not start horses. If your interested in having me gentle your mustang feel free to send me an email or give me a call.
